Welcome to Unfoldid! This course will teach you the specific colors and cuts customized to fit your body and show you how to build a wardrobe of forever pieces just for you. Most styling methods have you read through pages of information about each body type, and every seasonal color palette overwhelming you with information that is mostly not applicable to you.
The Unfoldid Method™ is different. Our Professional Stylists analyze the information you provide and apply a trained eye to show you which styling concepts apply specifically to you. Our goal is to tell you exactly what you need to purchase for your custom wardrobe.
Let Aricia inspire you to feel confident anytime you open your closet, whether you’re a fashionista or at a loss for style.
The process is simple...
- You provide your Silhouette proportions -- I show you the cuts
- Tell me your skintone - I show you your color palette
- Tell my your lifestyle and wardrobe- I show you the clothing you need (Top Essentials)

Silhouette
Silhouette is the foundation of style. It is the "structure" that you were born with -- your bone structure, your outline or shadow. It is completely unique to you and it will determine the main cuts and styles that will fit your silhouette in a way to reach your unique style goals.
Here we first explore the idea of silhouette then at the end you provide information through the online form that we will use to define your silhouette. A stylist from our team will analyze the information and then share the specific details you need for your perfect fit and cut to meet your goals.
[caption id="attachment_372" align="alignleft" width="303"] Leonardo da Vinci Vitruvian Man Ideal Proportions of the Human Body[/caption]
As Vitruvius pointed out long ago, balance and symmetry are visually pleasing to the human eye.
While very few of us are naturally symmetrical, we can use clothing to create the illusion. We can define the shoulder, narrow the waist, accentuate the hip using clothing and accessories to draw or distract the eye. Even though this may feel counterintuitive, adding volume where you're smaller to balance proportions can actually make the body look longer & leaner, while removing volume can create a rounder, curvier look.
Size is irrelevant when we look at silhouette, it is all about relative proportions; where you are wider or narrower and where you are shorter or longer. Are your hips broader or narrower than your shoulders? even if both are small. As Coco Chanel famously said “Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions."
To find out how the areas of your body are naturally balancing, we will use your Horizontal and Vertical proportions as a guide. It can be difficult to categorize bodies and especially hard to stay objective about our own bodies. This is where we can step in and help. And don't worry! We are here to help define your unique body type and proportions and then use this information to provide tools and guidance to reach your unique style goals.
Hint: This quiz section includes photos and measurements and is best done in tight clothing. You may want to complete all these quizzes at the same time while you are dressed appropriately.

Color Science
Color plays a significant role in an exciting and well built wardrobe. If you have you ever opened your closet to a rainbow array of colors and ended up in all black then this is for you! Many make the mistake of avoiding color because they’re uncertain about which tones are best for them. Others overuse colors they like but that aren’t flattering to their own coloring. Here you will learn what colors work with your unique skin tone and enhance the natural coloring of your for example your eyes, cheeks, and lips. You will notice that some colors make your skin glow and highlight your complexion and contrast. While other colors can tend to wash you out or even make you look sallow or pale. Imagine being able grab any top and having it make you glow with no effort or makeup?
Color Analysis also helps you to define and build a workable capsule wardrobe and avoid costly mistakes. No more tops that wash you out or closet color overload, where our clothing feels incapable of being mixed and matched. Instead you will build a more cohesive wardrobe where everything will mix and match, making dressing a breeze.
When we go shopping, the colors are already there... pre-chosen and turned into clothing for us. Our task becomes sorting through the available color choices and having the tools to assess the impact of these colors on you in the same way that we assess the impact of cut on our silhouette and proportions.
The analysis is based on classic color theory, just like the original Color Me Beautiful guide when it came out in 1980. It has been updated, refined and copied but remains relevant to today. Many people go back and forth between loving color systems, and then rebelling and thinking, "with make-up, I can wear anything I want!". But in the end we often create more work when we fight against the beauty of our natural coloring.
Don't worry, favorite colors won't be banned from the wardrobe completely, for starters, the distance from the face is clearly important! Also, colors do not have only one property. It is important to consider the strength, depth and brightness of your best colors. Is it deep or muted and washed out? Any colour can be warm or cool, light or dark, bright or muted, all at the same time. Meaning you can have a light cool green, or a light warm green, that light cool green could be brighter, or more muted, it could be really light or only medium light. It could be a very cool green or only a slightly cool green. So there is a "green" and most every other color out there for you.
This is about creating a palette of go-to colors that work seamlessly with your skin tone and make for a cohesive wardrobe and easy outfits. Using your seasonal palette will improve the way you shop and outfit build saving you both time and money. This approach will transform your shopping habits, preventing impulsive purchases that may not complement your existing wardrobe. Instead, you can purchase items with confidence, knowing that they will be versatile and complement your existing clothes. When you build a wardrobe based on your color palette, everything will mix and match easily, and the versatility of each garment will increase. This means more outfits with fewer items -- which is also more sustainable The best part? When you dress in pieces that are harmonious with each other and your coloring, your outfits will look well-put-together and polished without effort.
I could explain to you the definition of Value, Hue and Chroma and go into great detail about how to distinguish the different characteristics of each, but because we are only looking at color and it's impact on you, we present and use the language of color in a slightly different and more simplified way than that of a professional artist, making it more accessible, relevant and easy to remember!
We start with this quiz we have developed below! The foundation of your personal color palette is based on the natural colors found in the skin, hair and eyes. We then expand upon this foundation bringing in related colors and then refine other elements of the colors in your palette like how deep or bright the colors appear. Fill in your responses and a professional stylist will analyze your responses and determine your perfect color palette. Then you can focus your time and energy on understanding your specific colors and how to use them.

The Art of Personal Style
What you wear each day is a visual expression of YOU and what you choose to say about yourself.
Our system helps you recognize and define your own individual style, giving you the tools to make choices that are a true reflection of your personal style when you put together your wardrobe. The goal is for people to notice YOU, not your clothing because your clothes express the real you!
Our system shows you how to embrace your own Style Personality as we help you to understand what you actually like and stop purchasing things you never end up wearing. I see clients who "love" their friend’s sleek red leather jacket because it looks so great on their friend. But, If they buy that same red leather jacket, it is not a reflection of who they are and it just doesn't work on them or with their wardrobe.

The things you love in everyday life inform and influence your personal style. Consider this as you look around your home at a favorite room or piece of art. You can have great style no matter your natural inclination, so avoid the temptation to choose a style that you think is easy or trendy. Love Boho but work at a stuffy bank? You can create a power suit that stays true to you and to your innate style. The best dressed women have embraced what they truly love, not what is on trend or what they “think” they should be wearing. The key is to know what you love, then adapt it to fit your silhouette, color and lifestyle.
We will use lifestyle quizzes to help you uncover more about your innate style. Don't over think these questions, but instead go with your first instinctive reaction.
